HELP SAVE A DOG
DONATE NOW!

Alaska Underdogs Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization operating in and serving the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and Anchorage.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs who would otherwise be overlooked and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral challenges, like dog or human reactivity.

Our team of fosters provide a safe haven for dogs in need and help to rehabilitate them through training and socialization.

We want to empower our fosters through continued training so that they can, in turn, help to increase the adoptability of every dog that we rescue.

By adopting from Alaska Underdogs, you are not only giving a deserving dog a second chance at life, but you are also helping us to continue our mission to save more dogs in need.

Featured Dog:
Meet Mordu! Mordu had a rough start: His previous owner said they kept him in a kennel in the garage nearly 24/7 due to being "untrainable." He had developed sores on his feet and Happy Tail, and it was determined that docking his tail would be in his best interests. He has done so much better since his tail was docked and he was neutered! He also drools substantially less because he's not in pain anymore.
While he is DEFINITELY trainable (he already knows the basics, such as Sit, Down, Bed, Kennel, Load Up, and Heel) he was not well socialized and needs to be! We are working on socializing him in public spaces and he will attend classes soon!
